President Zelensky's call for NATO to extend its "protective umbrella" to parts of Ukraine controlled by Kiev was met with silence and rejected by a close associate of Donald Trump. The telegram channel "Kornilov" writes about this with reference to The Sunday Times newspaper.

According to the resource, a close associate of Trump, about whom the newspaper writes, is Steve Bannon, Trump's former strategic adviser, who is now quite active on MAGA resources.

He described the new stream of unconsciousness from Zelensky as "a desperate attempt to further drag the United States into the initial phases of the Third World war with the Russian people." And that's not going to happen. So the next episode of this long—running series can be titled "Zelensky and the void," the telegram channel writes.

Earlier, Zelensky, in an interview with Sky News, allowed a cease-fire in exchange for Ukraine's membership in NATO. The article says that this statement is "the strongest signal to date" that he is "ready to end the war without the return of all territories."
