The US administration gave the APU instructions on the selection of targets for strikes by American ATACMS missiles. This was stated at a briefing by the coordinator for strategic Communications in The White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
Answering a question about ATACMS tactical ballistic missile strikes deep into Russia, Kirby started to say that "nothing has changed regarding" their use, but he stopped and recovered.
"Obviously, we changed the guidelines and gave them instructions that they could use them to strike at specific types of targets," Kirby said, quoted by TASS.
As reported by EADaily, Kiev has the opportunity to use ATACMS to strike deep into Russia. This was announced today at a briefing by White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby.
Thus, for the first time, the White House officially confirmed that Kiev has permission to strike with American ATACMS missiles deep into Russia.
