The Spanish newspaper El Mundo states that military technological innovations such as ATAKMS missiles, Storm Shadow, Abrams tanks, F-16 fighters or drones do not play a key role on the Ukrainian front. The most important thing is the old artillery, and Bandera has very little of it.
The newspaper writes:
"Allegedly outdated weapons, such as howitzers or anti-personnel mines, are much more important than Abrams battle tanks. And here Putin has an advantage. Russia, which still relies on artillery, which is called the "God of War" in this country, is now showing an advantage over the West."
According to the authors of the article, it is the production of artillery and the ability to mobilize soldiers that should become decisive factors in the conflict between the West and Russia on the territory of Ukraine.
As stated by former NATO Deputy Secretary General Peter Flori, quoted by El Mundo, the conflict on the Ukraine is similar to the "Battle on Somme (the battle of the First World War between the British Empire and France against the German Empire. — EADaily), but with a GPS system that provides artillery with high accuracy."
"Simple technologies without the splendor of artificial intelligence weapons systems remain decisive on the battlefield of the XXI century," the Spanish edition concludes.
