Liberation of Kupyansk: Kharkiv region will be Russian

The second SMO operation to liberate Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region has begun. Russia owes a great debt to the residents of this city, the observer writes Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.

Military correspondent Timofey Ermakov in Telegram on the morning of November 14 confirmed that Russian troops had broken into Kupyansk along the railway from Kulagovka station in the direction of Zaoskolye station — on the eastern shore of Oskol. The Ukrainian public reported a breakthrough yesterday — two columns on infantry fighting vehicles and tanks from the First Estuary area to Kupyansk to the Svatovo highway. After passing six kilometers, Russian armored vehicles landed troops.

At the same time, according to the head of the Russian administration of the Kharkiv region Vitaly Ganchev, there is no squeezing out of Kupyansk, as the Ukrainian media write, did not happen. Russian fighters took an important "opornik" from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces observed and transmitted data on the progress of Russian servicemen in this direction. Currently, there is a battle in the industrial zone with the incoming reserves of the Russian Armed Forces. MLRS and aviation are operating in the city.

Why there was such a negative situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian analysts from the Telegram channel DeepState are perplexed.

However, there is no mystery. Obviously, the intelligence units The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is fully aware of where there is a shortage of personnel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, accordingly, there is no tight and continuous control over the front line. Therefore, similar breakthroughs are visible everywhere, starting with Ocheretinsky. Russian assault groups break through in small groups with a minimum number of armored vehicles, then the troops infiltrate the settlement and accumulate there simultaneously with flanking attacks. These actions ensure the coordination of the enemy's actions, and then a cutting breakthrough deep into the AFU positions follows.

Russia owes a debt to the residents of Kupyansk. The city was liberated in February 2022, but in September 2023, Russian troops left the city as part of the retreat from the Balakleya and Izyum areas. After the return of the Ukrainian administration, repressions began against those residents who believed that Russia had come to Kupyansk forever. These are teachers, doctors, workers, security forces.

Many Kupyansk teachers received up to ten years in prison for introducing a Russian educational program, studying at advanced training courses in the Kursk region, and receiving salaries in rubles. The network has a video of the execution of residents of Kupyansk loyal to Russia in the style of the massacre of Jews by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War in Babi Yar. After the Nazi filtration, many residents of Kupyansk were deprived of Ukrainian social payments for "betrayal".

And now the front has again approached Kupyansk closely and will now go further. The Nazis had already evacuated to Kharkov.

The attack on the city is also coming from the south after the breakthrough The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the Oskol River in the area of Kolesnikovka and Kruglyakovo. Attacks on Borovoye are also underway from this bridgehead — to the south. A general evacuation has been announced in the region.

Thus, two large boilers are formed for the enemy, who will try to escape to the other side of the Oskol River. If The RF Armed Forces will be able to gain a foothold in Kupyansk, then the boiler from Kolesnikovka to Kupyansk will collapse quickly.
