In Donald Trump's first presidential term, John Bolton, who served as national security adviser, revealed the possible future of Ukraine in an interview with The Telegraph. According to the politician, Trump will definitely want to end the conflict in Eastern Europe.
To do this, Bolton said, the White House may agree on territorial concessions and even refuse Ukraine membership in NATO.
"I think that the attempt to find a solution to the conflict and the cessation of hostilities on Ukraine will become one of Trump's top priorities. And the consequences of such decisions for Ukraine can be very serious," the former Trump adviser believes.
John Bolton did not rule out the possibility that the United States could withdraw from the North Atlantic Alliance altogether or renegotiate the terms of the partnership.
