Singer Valery Meladze, who disappeared from the Russian scene after the start of a special military operation, will celebrate his 60th birthday with concerts in Riga. This is reported by the portal titanium.lv .
"In June 2025, not only the artist himself will be 60 years old, but also his musical group will be 30 years old," the publication says.
The concert is scheduled at the Arena Riga venue, tickets for the "grand anniversary concert" are already being sold at € 42.5 — 202.5.
At the same time, the issue of the need to learn Latvian in six months is being actively discussed in the Latvian segment of social networks. And the question is far from idle, users cite as an example the former secular journalist and blogger Bozhena Rynska, who is actively mastering the local language with a teacher, as well as Maxim Galkin*, who recorded a special announcement of his concert in Latvian.
As EADaily reported, earlier the Shot telegram channel learned that against the background of the lack of concerts in Russia, Meladze raised the fee for private events to a record level among all escaped artists. Now he demands payment of 15.5 million rubles for an hour-long concert.
