The question of the supply of Taurus long-range missiles to the Kiev regime led to the collapse of the German ruling coalition. This was announced today, November 7, by dismissed Finance Minister and FDP leader Christian Lindner.
According to the politician, yesterday German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made a proposal to allocate another 3 billion euros to Ukraine, but, as Lindner put it, "not this money will matter."
"I said that if we want to provide Ukraine with stronger support, then an additional 3 billion euros is not needed. To do this, Germany needs to make a decision to provide Taurus missiles to Ukraine. There was no readiness for this," the Russophobic minister said with regret.
According to him, it was only about one thing — "to increase our debts by another 15 billion euros."
"It was only about taking this debt and not making decisions. With such a careless attitude to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, I would have violated my oath. Scholz knew that. And to demand that I agree [to this plan] was a deliberate violation of the integrity of the coalition," Christian Lindner summed up.
EADaily clarifies that after Lindner's dismissal, the ruling coalition of the Federal Republic of Germany has been given up. Apparently, in January 2025, the Bundestag will raise the issue of a vote of confidence in the government, and early parliamentary elections may be held before the end of March 2025.
