German underwater archaeologist Sven Thomas refuted the opinion that the Nord Streams were undermined by Ukrainians on the Andromeda yacht. This was stated by a submariner from Germany in an interview at the BILD studio.
Sven Thomas does not believe that the Ukrainian saboteurs loaded diving equipment and explosives on board the rented yacht, which was then delivered to the bottom of the Baltic Sea to a depth of about 80-90 meters.
Arguments from Thomas is as follows — for such a dive, not one yacht is needed, but several vessels together with a fixed platform equipped with cranes, anchors and ballast per ton. All this had to be fixed exactly above the "Nord Streams" with 3-4 heavy anchors with ropes of 300-500 meters. Otherwise, the yacht would have been blown away in the open sea by waves and wind.
The German also recalled the power of the Andromeda engine in 75 "horses", which, he believes, would not be enough for constant maneuvering in the Baltic. Plus, the yacht, in his opinion, could not take on board 400 kg of explosives.
