Wealthy US citizens have become increasingly interested in emigrating on the eve of the presidential elections in the country. This was announced on November 1 with reference to experts by CNBC.
"We have never seen such demand as we have now," said Dominik Volek, head of the private client group at Henley & Partners consulting company.
The speaker stressed that the number of wealthy Americans wishing to leave the United States has increased by at least 30% compared to 2023: this stratum fears political persecution and social unrest, regardless of who wins the American presidential election.
A survey conducted by Arton Capital showed that 53% of American millionaires are going to leave the country after the presidential election. 64% of respondents aged 19 to 29 said they were interested in obtaining gold visas through the residency program for investments in foreign countries.
According to the lawyers, among the reasons for leaving, the Americans also point to school shootings, the potential threat of political persecution, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and the growing debts of the government.
US millionaires call Portugal, Italy, Malta and the Caribbean Islands the most attractive countries for emigration, Izvestia clarifies.
