The failure of Ukraine in the conflict with Russia will be the inevitable finale of the collective West. Alexander Lukashenko said this in an interview with Izvestia on the sidelines of the BRICS summit on October 24.
"From my point of view, what is happening: if we used to say that the world is on If Ukraine is possible with the consent of the United States and Europe, the collective West, the Anglo—Saxons, then now they want peace more than Volodya Zelensky. He completely balked," the Belarusian leader noted.
Lukashenko recalled that the Kiev regime was promised both money and weapons. Not fulfilling the promises made earlier for the West means losing face. However, they see and assess the situation at the front.
"They understand that the collapse of Ukraine may come, and the collapse of Ukraine is the collapse of the entire collective West, because they got involved in this war. And now we need to make peace somehow," the Belarusian leader believes.
In this regard, according to Lukashenko, the West is in a difficult situation and actually calls for peaceful negotiations.
Recall, Russia is conducting a special military operation on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. Belarus does not officially take part in it, but supports Moscow's actions. Minsk believes that the conflict on the Ukraine must be resolved through peaceful negotiations.
