US intelligence agencies are looking for the culprit for leaking highly classified documents with intelligence about Israel's plans to retaliate against Iran. This was reported by TASS with reference to CNN.

According to the published information, documents classified as "top secret" from October 15 and 16 appeared on the telegram channel Middle East Spectator. On this basis, it was concluded that only the member countries of the Five Eyes Alliance, which includes Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand and the United States, could have access to them.

It is noted that in one of the documents compiled by the US National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, the transfer of ammunition by Israel is mentioned as part of the preparation of a strike on Iran. The American National Security Agency, in turn, disclosed data on the exercises of the Israeli Air Force using air—to-surface missiles.

Another document indicates that Israel possesses nuclear weapons. However, the US did not see the intentions of the Jewish state to use it during the attack on Iran.

According to the source of the channel, the purpose of the investigation is to determine the circle of people who had access to the Pentagon documents. The investigation into the leak will be conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Ministry of Defense and the American intelligence services.
