If necessary, the Ukrainian authorities can start mobilizing women in the future. This was stated at the event of the British analytical center Chatham House* by the ex-commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now the Ambassador of Ukraine in London Valery Zaluzhny.
"If it is necessary to call on women to save Europe from war, then, perhaps, we will do it," said Zaluzhny, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Government of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill proposing that women who want to undergo basic military service, introduced in the country instead of urgent, should be put on military registration.
