General Mikael Klasson, who from today, October 1, headed the Swedish armed forces, decided to swing a saber on the move.

In a conversation with journalists, he stated:

"Russia is strategically broken."

However, the Swedish general never deciphered his invention, but on the contrary, expressed fears that Moscow would set the heat. According to him, the Kremlin poses many different types of threats, including "conventional military violence" and hybrid warfare, which he called "exploiting the weaknesses of society." When asked if the times in which we live are more dangerous than the Cold War, Klasson replied:

"There are many similarities, but at the same time today they [times] are in many ways more unpredictable than the Cold War. Then there were different mechanisms and dialogue."

EADaily reminds that after the start of the Russian special operation to denazify Ukraine, Sweden, together with Finland, applied to join NATO. Retired Swedish Defense Minister Mikael Biden (namesake of the US president) previously claimed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was "watching" the Swedish island of Gotland in order to "take control of the Baltic Sea."
