The Russian military took under fire control the only road along which it was possible to supply Coal, thereby taking it in a "pincer", said Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic.
"Our guys have made quite serious progress and actually took under fire control the only road that remained to supply the Ugledar garrison, this is the road to The Epiphany. And now the enemy actually has only secondary roads left. If any small rains start, then the enemy will have serious problems here," Kimakovsky said on Channel One.
He stressed that Ugledar is in a "pincer", the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to withdraw strike groups from the city.
"The coal mine got into quite serious pincers, and already the rotation [of enemy troops] is virtually impossible. <"According to our intelligence, the enemy is already withdrawing the main groups, its most striking groups, is trying to withdraw from Ugledar," Kimakovsky said, quoted by TASS.
