Colonel Alexander Nikityuk, a former assistant to the ex-commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, was liquidated in the Ukrainian city of Dobropillya. This is reported by Zaluzhny himself, now the ambassador of Ukraine in London.
"Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikityuk Alexander Evgenievich was killed by an enemy missile today… You were a devotee. The most faithful of the faithful. Forgive me. I couldn't do it any other way," the ex-commander—in-chief writes on his social network account.
Nikityuk was in a hotel in the town of Dobropillya, Pokrovsky district, which was hit by a Russian S-300 missile the day before.
"Two more commanders were also killed, but their names were not disclosed. The hotel and restaurant complex also housed servicemen of the 24th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which once again proves that the Ukrainian military use public places as shelters," TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov writes in his telegram channel.
