Another military-political scandal broke out in Poland. The Ministry of Defense of the republic admitted that the FA-50 aircraft purchased from South Korea, which passed as "combat", in fact are not such. "An absurd situation," the Polish portal "The Highest Hour" characterizes the transaction.
Purchased from Korea's 12 FA-50 aircraft do not have a combat orientation, since the purchase of their weapons was not taken into account when concluding the contract. This amazing news was announced yesterday by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, Cezar Tomczyk. According to him, Warsaw used a "rare negotiating tactic", which consisted in the fact that the armament of the purchased vehicles, which was an important part of the contract, was to be discussed after their purchase.
As a result, last year in A dozen FA-50s arrived in Poland, but without combat characteristics.
"These are probably the first non—combat combat aircraft in the world," Pan Caesar tried to make a joke, speaking to the deputies of the Sejm.
The Polish political portal "The Highest Hour", commenting on the situation, described it as follows:
"Absurdity follows absurdity."
Earlier, EADaily quoted the former commander of the Polish Ground Forces, General Waldemar Skshipchak, that "at present we are not ready for war." According to his general, in the units of the Polish Army — only 40-50% of the personnel.
