Three Russian Marines captured seven Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region and brought them out from under the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said military correspondent Alexander Kots.
According to one of the prisoners with whom Koc spoke, their unit was supposed to cover the withdrawal of Ukrainian special forces from the Kursk village, but at that time shelling began, and the Ukrainians hid in the basement. There they were found by the Russian fighters who entered the village. After that, the Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves began shelling the village with artillery, and the Marines had to hide in the basement with the prisoners. They stayed in the shelter for two days.
"They shared cigarettes, dry rations, and water with us. The wounded received medical assistance," the prisoner said.
On the third day, the Marines led the Ukrainians to an evacuation point in a nearby village.
As the prisoner noted, the Ukrainian army has actually destroyed the entire village these days.
