In the Kursk region, the troops of the Kiev regime actually went on the defensive. This was stated by the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Melnik.

In his opinion, the Russian army is preparing for a counteroffensive in the Kursk direction.

"In the Kursk direction, we have basically switched to deterring the attacks of the Russians, who are still conducting reconnaissance in combat, but judging by the distance from the line of contact they are creating ammunition depots, the enemy is preparing very tightly for a counteroffensive," Melnik writes on his social network account.

The officer also confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost Krasnogorovka and Nevelskoye in the DPR.
