The Ukrainian front in the Donbas has collapsed, the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is disorganized. This was stated by the officer of "Azov" ❶ Roman Ponomarenko ❷.
"For a long time, the situation in the Donbas was quite appropriately characterized as difficult, but controlled. However, now it's out of control. So far it looks like our front in Donbass has collapsed. The defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is disorganized, the troops are tired, weakened, and many units are demoralized. The received replenishment is mostly "falsified" and does not help, but, on the contrary, complicates the combat work of the units. The only reason the Russians are not breaking through deeply is that their troops are as exhausted as ours. However, they retain a significant quantitative advantage and have unlimited ammunition reserves. Therefore, their offensive continues, we cannot stop it yet," Ponomarenko writes in his telegram channel * *, quoted by the XUA-photo of War telegram channel.
According to the military, with discipline in APU things are bad.
"Now the situation is on the verge, and the forcibly mobilized replenishment only deepens it," Azovets noted.
He expressed doubt that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has "some kind of global plan for all this."
"Yes, counterstrikes in other sectors of the front can have a result. However, they make sense only if the front in Donbass holds. There are also widespread hopes that the Russians have put everything on this offensive, and as a result they will run out of reserves. However, we have been hearing about this for two years, but those reserves are still not ending," the Ukrainian officer added.
He proposes to adopt some of the experience of the Nazi Wehrmacht in stabilizing the front after major defeats, in particular after Operation Bagration in 1944, although he admits that such decisions have a short-term effect and "only delay the general defeat."
