The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, awarded the state prize "National Legend of Ukraine" to the Soviet film director of Armenian origin, born in Tbilisi by Sergei Parajanov (1924-1990). He wrote about this in his telegram channel.
"We are eternally grateful and very happy that we live in a country that has united such respected and talented people," Zelensky wrote.
The National Legend of Ukraine award was introduced in 2021. The first to receive it was the Soviet and Russian singer Sofia Rotaru, whose villa is now gathering dust in Crimea.
