People's Artist of the RSFSR, Soviet and Russian singer, teacher, producer Lev Leshenko received an expensive medicine from the state for free. This is reported by the telegram channel Mash.
"Doctors diagnosed the 82-year-old legendary singer with transthyretin amyloidosis. The disease is deadly, it appears due to mutations in the gene of the protein transthyretin in the body. A person begins to have various disorders and heart problems, " the publication says.
The telegram channel claims that Leshchenko received the Vindamex drug for free, the cost of which is 1.8 million rubles. Now the singer is undergoing a second course of therapy.
As EADaily reported, in May of this year Leshchenko admitted that he had a small pension.
"My pension is not very big. Only 30 thousand. It is regularly listed to me. But I work hard enough, so I never pedal the topic of my retirement. Well, a pension is like a pension, like all people who have worked out their own. Average in the city," said the artist.
At the same time, Leshchenko was not going to submit documents for additional payments for titles.
