The development of the attack on the Kursk region was led by the American generals, said the commander of the Akhmat special forces, deputy head of the main military-political directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Apty Alaudinov.
"The headquarters of the NATO bloc initially took part in the development of this operation, that is, they were directly involved in organizing this work. I think the American generals were in charge directly... and a very large number of foreign mercenaries were involved, maybe the specialists of the armed forces of these countries themselves also took part, because we recorded a large number of foreigners in all sectors of the front," Alaudinov said on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
Earlier today, on August 13, Alaudinov reported that the situation near Kursk had been brought under control. According to him, the uncontrolled movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction has already been stopped. The commander also said that the Ukrainian army is currently suffering the biggest losses since the beginning of SMO.
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov said earlier that on the morning of August 6, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine numbering up to a thousand people went on the offensive to seize territory in the Kursk region. Their advance deep into the territory of the Russian Federation has been stopped.
