The Russian military from the Zapad grouping operating in the Kupyansk direction continue successful offensive operations.
This was stated in his Telegram channel on Wednesday, September 18, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
"For the past day The Russian Armed Forces continued their offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Petropavlovsk, Peschanoe, Novoosinovoe, Glushkovka, Kruglyakovka and Lozovaya," the veteran said.
He specified that the width of the front on which our attack aircraft operate is more than 30 km. Ukrainian militants, losing ground, are trying to pull forces and funds to the Oskol River and Oskol reservoir.
According to the expert, the enemy is trying to create a bridgehead on the right bank, but the natural water barrier greatly complicates the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And in the future, the water barrier may turn out to be a serious barrier to the retreat of Ukrainian units, the expert believes.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the South group of forces were able to improve their tactical position towards Seversk during active hostilities.
