The head of the Uzbek diaspora of the interregional Uzbek community in Russian "Vatandosh" ("Compatriot") Usman Baratov❶ was sentenced by a court to four years in prison to serve time in a general regime colony. This is reported by the SOTAvision telegram channel.
"The Stupinsky City Court of the Moscow region found Baratov guilty under the article on incitement of enmity and hatred (part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 4 years in a general regime colony," the information says.
In December 2023, Baratov❶ posted a post on his Odnoklassniki page with a picture of chickens that say: "Figs with butter, not eggs! Bring back the roosters from the front!".
A month later, z-activists and z-military correspondents noticed this. They appealed to the head of the RF IC Bastrykin, who, in turn, instructed to initiate a criminal case in connection with the publication of the "mocking post."
On January 19, Baratov❶* was taken into custody by decision of the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow. He was charged under item "b" of part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).
During the interrogation, he pleaded not guilty. A number of forensic examinations, including linguistic and computer-technical, were appointed in the criminal case.
On February 27, 2024, Usman Baratov❶ was added to the List of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring.
