Former presidential candidate of Abkhazia, one of the opposition leaders Adgur Ardzinba detained in Sochi for crossing the border along the Psou River and driving a car during the period of deprivation of a driver's license.
"On June 21, Ardzinba Adgur Amiranovich was summoned to the police department of the Adler district of Sochi in connection with the fact of crossing the state border along the Psou by car in April 2025. On the spot, he was charged with an administrative offense — driving a vehicle during the period of deprivation of a driver's license. As a result of the expedited trial, he was placed under administrative arrest for a period of 14 days," the Republica telegram channel close to the oppositionist reports.
As EADaily reported, in April, Adgur Ardzinba was detained at the border with Russia due to the fact that he was driving a car without a license.
