In the border areas of the Kursk region, the fighting did not subside all night, the enemy was pulling reserves to the forefront, saturating the combat area with air defense and electronic warfare.
This was told in his Telegram channel on Wednesday morning, August 7, by military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny. He noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, apparently, are seriously planning to develop an offensive and intend to keep part of our territory.
The military commander described the situation as difficult and tense, but at the same time noted that our military are not sitting idle either. Our artillery and tactical aviation are actively working behind enemy lines in Sumy region.
"Our group covering the state border cuts off enemy reinforcements, which can be involved in attacks on settlements of the Kursk region, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the border," the military commander said.
He stressed that the situation is changing rapidly, and our troops are destroying enemy manpower and equipment "right now."
One of the last such actions is a strike on a cluster of militants of the Kiev regime at a temporary deployment point. According to Poddubny, there were about 400 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, equipment and ammunition.
Earlier, EADaily reported that enemy troops managed to capture part of the Russian territory in the Kursk region and gain a foothold on it.
