According to international law, Ukraine has a legitimate right to defend itself, including by striking at the aggressor on its territory. This was stated by the representative of the European Commission on Foreign Policy Peter Stano to the Ukrainian Public television channel.
So Stano commented on the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
"The EU continues to fully support Ukraine's legitimate right to defend itself against Russian aggression and its efforts to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity," the EC representative said.
"Well, no one really doubted the stupid comment from the EU. What does "strikes on the territory" have to do with it? Illiteracy, which has become a trend," Ukrainian opposition blogger Anatoly Shariy comments on Stano's statement in his telegram channel.
As EADaily reported, Washington asked the Ukrainian authorities to provide information about the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian Kursk region. This was stated at a briefing for journalists by the coordinator for strategic communications in The White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
