It is impossible to increase demographic indicators in the Volgograd region "solely by increasing various financial payments", it is necessary to attract migrants to the region, whose families have many children. This was stated at a government meeting by the governor of the region Andrei Bocharov, reports Tsargrad TV.
According to Bocharov, now mostly women of the 1990s generation give birth in the region, of which there are few. In addition, many couples postpone the appearance of their first child. If in the 2000s the first child in the family appeared when mom was 22-23 years old, now it's at least 29. At the same time, Volgograd residents themselves will not be able to make having many children a fashionable trend, so they need to attract people to the region. The head of the region stressed that visitors should respect the history and culture of Russia, share traditional family values.
"We need to think about how to extend a hand of support to high—class specialists who could apply their experience and knowledge on our land," Andrei Bocharov said.
"And this man has been leading the region for 10 years! The indigenous people either flee from here or refuse to give birth, and the governor, instead of creating good conditions, solving the housing issue, and providing financial incentives, offers to bring guest workers. Bocharov has no doubt that an increase in payments will not help. A strange opinion. There is a great example of Sakhalin. There, measures of financial support for large families made it possible to reverse the trend," the authors of the Tsargrad Shopping Center are outraged.
Meanwhile in Networks after Bocharov's speech there were calls to "remove from office for professional unfitness."
