The Russian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsky direction took the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the village of Zhelannoye in a pincer grip and occupied the center of the village of Ivanovka. This is reported by military expert Yuri Podolyaka.
"First of all, the main fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine east of Zhelannoye has been finally cleared in the south. In general, the enemy in the village is taken in a pincer grip. All his communications are being shot through here, and he is in an operational environment. I think tomorrow he will be forced to move south beyond the beam in order to continue trying to keep the front from collapsing.
Secondly, our units occupied the center of Ivanovka and an intensive assault continues here from two directions at once — the south and the east. Taking into account the lamentations in the Ukrainian public, the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces here also looks depressing," Podolyaka writes in his telegram channel.
According to him, the battles for Sergeyevka, which Russian units have already entered, are also continuing.
"Thus, our command has almost completed the provision of flanks for further advance to the southwest along the railway tracks to Novogrodovka," the expert emphasizes.
According to him, the next line of resistance of the enemy here is Orlovka — Nikolaevka — Novozhelannoe.
