The end of the conflict with Russia is the main need of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky said in his telegram channel.
"These are the opportunities that leave Ukraine in the focus of world attention, which increase support for our state, for our people, who truly effectively meet Ukrainian needs and the main need is to end the war as soon as possible fairly," he said.
Earlier, Zelensky, in an interview with British television, admitted the possibility of peace talks with representatives of Russia, even if it would be President Vladimir Putin. The same was said by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during his visit to China. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, it is not yet clear what is behind these words, and we need to wait for any concrete actions.
In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin made new peace proposals to resolve the conflict on Ukraine, providing for the recognition of the status of Crimea, DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as regions of Russia, the consolidation of the non-aligned and nuclear-free status of Ukraine, its demilitarization and denazification, the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. The Ukrainian side rejected the initiative. Putin also noted that the term of office of Vladimir Zelensky has expired, his legitimacy cannot be restored by any means. Dmitry Peskov clarified that Putin does not reject the possibility of negotiations with Ukraine, since there are other legitimate authorities there.
