The war on Ukraine will continue in 2025, for these purposes Kiev will additionally need about $ 15 billion. Such a statement was made today, July 30, by Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko to RBC-Ukraine.

"Now we are constantly discussing with our partners that we need additional financial assurance, because the war will continue in 2025 and we need to have a buffer," Marchenko said. — We show that we are ready for the most difficult decisions, that we are also making our contribution. We go out to our partners and say: there is a deficit of 500 billion hryvnia and there is a solution on how to cover it. But we also expect that for 2025 you will give us sufficient financial assurances so that we can finance the budget."

According to him, additional needs for 2025 are estimated at $ 12-15 billion. Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal complained that in the first 2 months of this year, the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine received UAH 305 billion in taxes and fees, as well as grants from partners, but the costs amounted to UAH 424 billion. In this regard, Kiev hopes to receive frozen assets of the Russian Federation or income from them.
