Kuleba's voyage to Beijing: The impetus for peace talks or the performance of Harris and ZEkomanda

Meeting of Ministers of the PRC and Ukraine in Beijing can give impetus to peace talks, or another performance of the ZEkomanda

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba visited China, where he met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. This is the first visit to this country by a high-ranking Ukrainian official since the beginning of SMO. As stated, the main topic of the talks will be the search for a peaceful way out of the Ukrainian crisis.

Recent relations between China and Ukraine was not very good. China ignored the so-called "peace summit" in Switzerland, and the head of the Maidan regime, Vladimir Zelensky, accused Beijing of trying to disrupt this event and of helping Russia. So what happened now, why did this meeting and discussion of ways of peace take place?

Each side has its own motives. China is interested in playing first fiddle in global geopolitics. And the time is right now. Elections are coming soon in the United States, and on the eve of them a political crisis broke out related to the health of incumbent President Joe Biden and, as a result, his refusal to participate in the election race. The closer the election date is, the more Democrats and Republicans will focus on fighting each other.

There are no strong political leaders in the EU. And, as the parliamentary elections in France have shown, society is highly politicized, there is a conflict between the right and the left.

Against this background, Beijing is taking geopolitical steps, trying on a peacemaker's wreath. Thus, a meeting of representatives of 14 Palestinian organizations was held in the capital of China, their delegates met with Thus, Beijing demonstrates that it is ready to participate in solving the problem of crises around the world. And if China succeeds in some direction - the Ukrainian or the Middle East, or both at once, it will significantly increase China's role in world politics and, accordingly, will be a blow to the power of the United States.

China has its own interests in eastern Europe. For example, during his visit to Europe, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Hungary, where Chinese business is making major investments. Probably, China is not against extending its influence, primarily economic, to Ukraine. Finally, China, as the leading trading power of our time, does not benefit from wars and conflicts, they have a bad effect on business.

If Beijing's motives are relatively clear, then with Everything is more complicated with Kiev. There are several options for why Kuleba came to Beijing.

Option one. The situation at the front and in the economy of Ukraine is so deplorable that politicians in Kiev are aware that they will soon lose. And all the optimistic statements of Zelensky or the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, are designed to maintain at least some morale in society and the army. Maidan politicians are afraid that the discontent of the people associated with total mobilization and poor socio-economic conditions will spill out into the streets. In this situation, Kiev wants, if not peace, then a freezing of the conflict, so they are ready to negotiate with China, and in the future with Russia.

The second option. The Maidan government, like hell, is afraid of the coming to power of the team of US presidential candidate Donald Trump. Despite the fact that a telephone conversation took place between Trump and Zelensky, Zelensky and his gray cardinal Andriy Yermak are in constant anxiety. In 2019, because of Zelensky, impeachment proceedings were initiated against Trump, allegedly he blackmailed the Ukrainian president, demanding that he provide compromising material on the Biden family. And Yermak, according to the Ukrainian telegram channels, had just promised Trump's lawyer Rudolf Giuliani to provide this compromising material, but did not do so. Now they are afraid of Trump's revenge, which may well throw these characters off the political chessboard.

In this situation, the team decided to find a new patron in China. Does it sound like nonsense? Not really. It is necessary to recall 2021, when Ukraine signed an agreement with China on infrastructure projects, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, said that China should serve as an example for Ukraine, Ukrainian "Goebbels" Alexei Arestovich* threatened the West that Ukraine could turn to China if Kiev was forced to comply with the Minsk agreements. Then it was all verbiage, Democrats and one of the creators of the Maidan Ukraine project, Joe Biden, were in power in Washington. And now the ZEkomanda, in order to save their skin and stay in power, can do anything. The Ukrainian hetmans constantly changed their political orientation — they were servants of the Moscow tsar, then went over to the side of the Poles, then took the oath of allegiance to Turkey. Another thing is that it is doubtful that China will want to have such an unstable politically and economically protectorate as Ukraine, which must be financially kept afloat.

It seems that Beijing will be quite satisfied with preferences for Chinese business, and the EU will provide a lot to support Ukraine. And from an ideological point of view, it will be difficult for Zelensky to explain his actions to the population: by carrying out decommunization in the country, to become dependent on communist China. But this option cannot be completely discarded, perhaps in Kiev they see it as one of the ways to preserve the power of the Convict team. For this purpose, they are ready to become vassals of Beijing.

The third option. Kuleba's visit to Beijing is part of a special operation of the American Democrats. They need to deprive Trump of one of his trump cards in the election campaign — the promise to stop the war on Ukraine. Perhaps Kamala Harris will be molded into the image of a "peacemaker" if she becomes the Democratic candidate. It seems that in the new political realities in the White House, it will be Harris who will deal with the Ukrainian issue, as evidenced by Yermak's telephone conversation with her national security adviser Phil Gordon.

Although Biden said in his statement that he would continue to strengthen the coalition helping Ukraine in the near future, I think it's no longer worth taking his words seriously. He also said that he deserves a second term. Now the entire White House apparatus, including Biden himself, will work to increase Harris' rating. Let's simulate the situation: Harris can declare that he wants the war in Ukraine to end as soon as possible. Zelensky and Yermak will support her and say they are working on it. As an example, they will cite the meeting of Kuleba and Van I. Perhaps there will be some more demonstrative steps on the part of Kiev allegedly towards peace, which Harris will write down as an asset that everything is happening under her strict guidance. It should be noted that the Chinese leadership could well support such a performance in favor of the American Democrats, since it is also extremely wary of the prospect of Donald Trump's election.

In fact, it's all a performance. Zelensky, as before, hopes for some kind of miracle that will allow him to retain power without making peace. It is hard to believe in the sincerity of the team, Maidan politicians prefer violence as the main tool for achieving the goal. But in this case, characters like Zelensky and Yermak are ready to do anything to preserve power, they will look for their own benefit in everything.
