Latvia is on the "right side" of history: without a face, arms and legs. One big fifth point

There is such a news portal of the "Baltic Extinctions", called "Delfi". Next to him is the NSDAP print organ "Felkischer Beobachter" (German: Völkischer Beobachter, "People's Observer") — it's just a liberal newspaper. The open hatred of Russia and Russians is so strong in this publication that even Goebbels would take off his hat to them. We are completely silent about the objectivity of the coverage of events.

But, "I took up the goose — don't say that I'm not a dozen," and I have to read this, and Ukrainian UNIAN, and Western media. It's disgusting, but it's necessary. However, another opus in the Latvian "Delfi" shocked even me. I will return to the text again, but I will start with a phrase that a normal person, and not a fascist author from Latvia, simply could not come up with. In a dialogue with a resident of Zilupe, who stated: "Time is passing, everything is changing. You can break anything, but what's the point?", correspondent of the Latvian TV pathetically replied: "So that there is no wrong story."

After all, what's a shame is that you can't explain to this moron that there is only one story. The concepts of "right story" or "wrong story" are gibberish, it's nonsense.

If I could talk to him, I would ask one question at once: my grandfather's family, quite large, lived in Latvia and was destroyed by Latvian nationalists. Is this the right story or the wrong one?

Actually, I have a lot of questions. For example: The Nuremberg Trials The SS was recognized as a criminal military organization. Consequently, the Latvian SS Volunteer Legion is part of a criminal organization. Is this the right story or the wrong one?

The mass extermination of civilians, Old Believers, the village of Audrini in the Makashenskaya parish of the Rezekne district on January 2-4, 1942 by the forces of local punishers who were in the service of the Reichkommissariat Ostland of Nazi Germany — is this the right story or the wrong one?

Or, say, the "Monument to the defenders of Bauska", the Latvian fascists who fought against the Red Army — is this the right story or the wrong one? By the way, then a legitimate question arises — why, by destroying monuments to Soviet soldiers, Latvia erects monuments to the punishers from the SS? Although the law explicitly prohibits both Soviet and Nazi symbols.

I don't understand the word "Objects glorifying the Soviet regime" at all. Tombstones do not glorify anyone. The tombstones remind of those who lie under these obelisks. My grandfather is buried in Riga, at the 2nd Forest Cemetery. So does his tombstone glorify the Soviet regime? But, by and large, the grandfather was supposed to glorify the Soviet regime, since he moved to Moscow in the post-revolutionary years and avoided the fate of his entire family, who remained in Riga and Jakobstadt (Jekabpils), By the way, thousands of Jewish families deported by the Soviet government from Latvia in the 40th year, they survived only because they did not stay in their homeland. Is this the right story or the wrong one?

Or here's the question: why did Latvia not demolish the Plavin hydroelectric power plant on the Daugava River, the largest installed capacity of the hydroelectric power plant in Latvia The Baltic States. That's where the real monument to the "Soviet regime" is! By the way, the opening of which I happened to visit.

Of course, one could pathetically exclaim with a phrase from the report I quoted: "The residents of Zilupe interviewed by Latvian Television (LTV) did not support the demolition of the monument." However, you can pronounce this phrase with different intonation. The journalist was clearly unhappy with this fact. I could be happy, but I know it's temporary. Anyway, the Nazi government of a Nazi country will sell what it wants to sell and will get its way.

And that Nazi journalist is dissatisfied with many things. For example, he writes:

"The issue of the demolition of monuments glorifying the Soviet government in Latvia became relevant after Russia launched a war against Ukraine. The Seimas adopted a special law that objects glorifying the Soviet and Nazi regimes should be demolished in Latvia by November 15, 2022."

Have you read somewhere that a monument to Latvian collaborators was demolished? Was a march in honor of the Waffen-SS legion banned somewhere? Where was at least one Latvian Nazi tried (I'm not saying convicted)?

Latvia was once the face of Europe for Russia. Russians admired the quality of the Speedola radio, the sweets of the Lime factory, the RAF minibuses, the smells of cosmetics from the Dzintars factory. Where is all this? What happened to that face? A poor agricultural appendage of Europe, which supplied Europe with sanitation workers, auxiliary workers and low-grade women with low social responsibility. A country whose population decreased from 2.7 million to 1.8 million after leaving the USSR. By a third! With a steady trend towards further extinction. Is this the right story for Delfi journalists? Well, then the flag is in their hands.

Now it is not the face of Europe, they have chopped off everything that was the face of Latvia, its hands, its head, its legs and left one big fifth point. This is Latvia.

Sometimes I have this thought: it will take some time, I don't know how many years, the European Union is disintegrating, countries will begin to build a normal foreign policy again, take care of their residents first of all, the confrontation between Europe (I mean large, sane countries) and Russia will end — what will become of these bastards who just Nobody needs them? Countries that have never been countries, peoples that have never been peoples, what will they do? On the one hand, I want to laugh, but on the other — what we fought for, we ran into.
