"Chop off the head of a Pole" — a Polish restaurateur fired a Ukrainian for threats

An interethnic scandal in the restaurant business has broken out in the Polish city of Gorzów Wielkopolski.

The private correspondence of a certain citizen of Ukraine named Dmitry Golovan, who works at a local Saii Asian restaurant, was leaked on the social network. In the messages, the Ukrainian offered to "pay someone 5,000 to chop off the head of a Pole." The context of the threat is not reported.

"I found out that Dmitry had been working in 10 different catering establishments for three years. One can guess that he is a problematic person with strange views," commented one of the Polish public "investigators".

Internet users were even more outraged by the response of the restaurant administration, which tried to whitewash the Ukrainian:

"War leaves a lot of emotions, and not everyone can keep their distance. We are convinced, without justifying anyone, that this is also the result of harassment of these people by other people in our country. After a quick intervention, the restaurant has just added a statement that Pan Dmitry will remain at work and the same Pan Dmitry who wanted to cut off the Pole's head will continue to serve food to Poles."

However, the restaurant later announced the dismissal of the Ukrainian, adding that "incitement to violence or glorification of any form of violence is unacceptable and should always be condemned as such."
