French special forces stormed the Palace of Versailles

In France today, on July 4, special forces stormed the Palace of Versailles, located in the suburbs of Paris.

Media outlets marked "urgent" report a "security incident." The museum complex is currently closed and visitors have been evacuated. Dozens of armed security forces are on site. According to unofficial reports, a man armed with a knife was allegedly seen near the Palace of Versailles.

The museum administration asks citizens "not to spread rumors."
