As a result of consultations with NGOs, candidate for Moldovan Prime Minister Ion Sturza has drafted a declaration of incorruptibility.
The co-authors of the declaration are Transparency International, the Legal Resource Center of Moldova, PromoLex, the Foreign Policy Association of Moldova, DIALOG-Pro, REC Moldova, the Independent Press Association of Moldova and many other NGOs.
According to Sturza, all candidates running for offices in the government should sign the declaration.
According to Executive Director of Transparency International Moldova Lilia Carasciuc, future minister should declare that they have never been involved in corrupt deals and have never been convicted for such crimes.
They should also declare that they have never violated public morals, have never promoted anti-national values or programs, have never cooperated with Moldovan and foreign special services and has never made xenophobic or racist statements.
