The authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has over-fulfilled their voluntary mobilization plan by 110%, the leader of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko said in an interview to Donetsk News Agency on Apr 21.
“As of now we have more volunteers than we have arms to give to them. People see what is actually going on. They understand that they in Kiev want the war to continue and they are ready to defend their land,” Zakharchenko said.
He noted that even if Kiev escalated the conflict, they would continue paying pensions and scholarships.
“The part of our economy that is responsible for pensions is not in the conflict zone, so, we will pay them in time,” Zakharchenko said.
He said that UAH accounts or almost 70% of the money turnover of the DPR’s economy. RUR has 30% of the turnover, USD only 2%.
