Activity of Vladimir Putin on the post of the Russian president is welcomed by 85% of the polled citizens, versus 14% discontented respondents, according to a public opinion poll conducted by Levada-Center.
As a statement on results of the survey says, 63% of the polled find Dmitry Medvedev effective as the prime minister, while 35% disprove his activity.
The government activity is approved by 59% of the respondents, while 40% are discontented at it. As for the activity of the State Duma, there is almost equal division of votes: 50% are satisfied with the activity of the legislative body, versus 48% discontented respondents.
In addition, the survey revealed that 61% of the respondents welcome the activity of their governors unlike another 37% who are discontented at the work of the regional authorities.
The poll revealed that Russians trust Vladimir Putin most of all (62% of polled). The second and third state persons enjoying public confidence are Defense Minister of Russia Sergey Shoigu and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev (26% versus 21%).
The poll was conducted among 1600 residents in 134 communities of 46 regions of Russia on March 20-23. The margin of error is 3.4%.
