France expels former editor-in-chief of RT France

France expels the former editor-in-chief of RT France Ksenia Fedorova from the country. This is reported by local media.

It is reported that on July 29, the Paris Police Prefecture handed over to Fedorova's lawyer a ministerial order for her deportation. The document says that Fedorova's behavior "damages the fundamental interests of the state," and her presence in the country "poses an extremely serious and urgent threat to public order."

The resolution also says that Fedorova "acts as a relay of disinformation campaigns run by the Russian authorities" in order to "destabilize public order" in the country. In addition, it allegedly "promotes the spread of disinformation and destabilization rhetoric" aimed at "manipulating public opinion" and "undermining the trust of European and, in particular, French citizens in their institutions."

Recall that RT France stopped broadcasting in January 2023. The channel said it could not continue working after the introduction of European sanctions against its "shareholder and parent company." After the closure of the channel, Fedorova remained in France and published her memoirs there under the title "Exiled. Freedom of speech is conditional" ("Bannie. Liberté dʼexpression sous condition»). In May 2026, Politico reported that Fedorova got a job at the French right-wing conservative TV channel CNews.
