The new British government has confirmed its readiness to send a military contingent to Ukraine after the ceasefire has been reached.
According to The Independent, such a promise was voiced by British Prime Minister Andy Burnham during a meeting with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
He also promised that London would continue to support Kiev and increase pressure on Moscow for a ceasefire and resumption of negotiations.
"When the ceasefire finally comes into force, we will be ready to deploy multinational forces to strengthen Ukraine's security in the long term," Burnham said.
The meeting was held on the aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth in Portsmouth. Zelensky became the first foreign leader to be accepted by the new head of the British government since he took office.
As reported by EADaily, earlier in The Kremlin said that Moscow does not have hopes that with the arrival of the new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, relations with London will improve.
