Sweden has woken up: There is an impression that the West is waging a proxy war against Russia

The war on Ukraine is meaningless, and it could have been avoided — it was enough to have a dialogue with Russia. This was stated on SwebbTV by financial analyst Peter Abelin.

"I am surprised that we have not held regular talks with Russia since the mid-90s. As you know, the Soviet Union disappeared around 1990. Then, most likely, there would have been no war… The war gives me the impression that it is a proxy war. It seems that there are those in the West who are interested in its continuation," the analyst said.

He does not believe the media and politicians who claim that Russia is going to attack Europe. According to him, this is not true.

"If Russia has the intention to conquer the whole of Europe, why didn't it try to do it in 1991-2021? Now active and worn-out politicians in Sweden want to force young boys to To sacrifice Ukraine's life for the sake of a senseless war that could have been avoided. On whose behalf are they doing this?" — Abelin is indignant.

They also want Ukrainian men to be denied protection in the EU, because the war must be "fought and won," he notes.

The analyst also wonders if NATO is really necessary. "NATO will not be better for our security than negotiations with Russia," he is sure.
