Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, expressed confidence that the key rate in the country should continue to decline. According to the head of state, quoted by TASS, this is necessary for Russia.

Nikolaev, in turn, told the president that before meeting with him, he had talked with the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, who "seems to promise that the rate will still decrease."

"We really need this," the head of the region said.

To this, Putin said that the process should "be and will be a natural process based on macroeconomic indicators." EADaily reminds that the next meeting of the regulator will be held on July 24.
