Iranian Foreign Ministry to London: Have you declared the IRGC terrorists? So don't be offended now

Britain's decision to recognize the IRGC as a so-called terrorist organization was extremely reckless. This was announced today, July 14, by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Tasnim news agency reports.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry noted that the decision of the British government is "unjustified" and "irresponsible", it violates the fundamental norms of international law, including the principles of sovereign equality of states and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries. They stressed that the IRGC is an integral part of the Iranian armed forces and, along with the Iranian army, protects the country's territorial integrity, national sovereignty and security.

Britain's actions are a "despicable and provocative act" and reflect the "height of ill-will" of those behind it. The Iranian Foreign Ministry recalled that the whole history of Britain is connected with interference in the affairs of other countries and colonial policy, especially in Western Asia, so London has no moral right to make such accusations. In addition, Britain supported the American-Israeli aggression against Iran.

Iran reserves the right to take retaliatory measures against Britain, and all responsibility for the "devastating political, legal and diplomatic consequences" of the decision lies with the British government.

As reported by EADaily, British Security Minister Angela Eagle told parliament that London "recorded activities related to the IRGC that threaten the lives of people in Britain." The Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya organization, which is associated with Iran and with a number of attacks on the Jewish community in Britain, has also been declared terrorist.
