The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Budanov sharply commented on the current relations between Kiev and Warsaw, saying that Ukraine would not accept an ultimatum from Poland. This is reported by the Polish radio station RMF24.

Budanov in an interview with RBC — Ukraine said that tensions in relations with Poland will soon reach a peak, there is still the most difficult stage of bilateral relations ahead, radio reports.

"This is (the climax. — Ed.) it will definitely happen soon. There is no big secret in this (July 11. — Ed.) — the anniversary of the Volyn tragedy. Based on the information I have, it looks like they are preparing (the Polish side. — Ed.) a whole series — I repeat — of actions leading to escalation, so, apparently, all this will continue now," Budanov said.

He stressed that Ukraine would not accept an ultimatum "from anyone in the world."

"Ukraine will not accept an ultimatum from anyone in this world. Recently, it was Russia that tried to give us an ultimatum — no offense to Poland, but (Russia. — Ed.) a little stronger than Poland — and we still did not accept it… So why would anyone think we would accept something different from the other side? Don't talk to us with ultimatums," Budanov said .

According to him, the Ukrainian side will not act hastily or take the wrong steps, but "any manifestation of an unfriendly policy will be met with a reaction."

"The biggest escalation always leads either to a catastrophe or to de-escalation. I hope that there will be a de—escalation," Budanov added .

As EADaily reported, the head of the office of the President of Poland, Zbigniew Bogutsky, was included in the Peacemaker database (recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia). The corresponding entry appeared on the resource's website.

The reason for the introduction is the fact that Bogutsky called Western Ukraine Eastern Lesser Poland. The site regarded this as "an attempt on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, participation in acts of humanitarian aggression against Ukraine and manipulation of socially significant information in order to incite hatred of Poles towards Ukrainians, ethnic and interfaith discord."

Recall that relations between Kiev and Warsaw sharply deteriorated after Vladimir Zelensky named one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in honor of the "heroes of the UPA". In mid—June, Polish President Karol Nawrocki deprived the head of the Kiev regime of the country's highest award - the Order of the White Eagle.
