The goalkeeper of the national hockey team of Ukraine Eduard Zakharchenko and the striker of the club "Kremenchuk" Egor Bezugly were mobilized after going to the store. This was told by Ukrainian hockey player Nikita Kovalenko.
According to him, Zakharchenko and Bezugly went to the supermarket at night during the curfew. After that, law enforcement officers drove up to the hockey players to check their documents.
"Egor and Edik went to the supermarket at curfew, their phone was dead. Law enforcement officers drove up and said they knew they were hockey players, offered to check the documents. Then they were taken to the military unit, the gates were closed, and then they were distributed among the brigades," Kovalenko said.
Recall, Zakharchenko is 30 years old. He has been a member of the Ukrainian national ice hockey team since 2015 and has played 47 matches for the national team. In addition to Ukrainian clubs, Zakharchenko also played in the championships of Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Italy.
