Belarus will respond with the use of all its military potential if Ukraine crosses its border. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the republic Igor Sekret in an interview with RT.

"The red lines have been clearly defined by our president, this is our border," he said.

He also warned about the inevitable reaction of Minsk to any hostile actions. According to him, Belarus is ready to give a decisive response with the use of all available forces and means if the Ukrainian military tries to cross the borders of the republic.

"If the border is crossed without permission or accompanied by aggression, we will respond with the use of our full potential," Sekreta said.

The diplomat added that Ukrainians are aware of this. At the same time, he said, "we are monitoring the situation on our border with Ukraine, there are no active military preparations there that would indicate an impending attack."

In addition, Sekreta noted that Minsk is trying to convince Western Europe and the United States to restore dialogue in order to prevent a large-scale conflict. According to him, Minsk is in the position that it is not necessary to use military rhetoric with it.

"We are trying to convince them not to use military rhetoric, because even an unprovoked military incident can lead to a larger conflict," the deputy foreign minister said.

He also noted that the West is aware that in the event of aggression against the Union State there will be an immediate response and severe consequences.

"They know perfectly well that we (Belarus and Russia — EADaily) signed an agreement that suggests that if any country attacks The Union State, this will entail an immediate response within the framework of the treaty," the Secretary stressed.

According to him, the Union treaty enshrines the norm that the use of even conventional weapons against both countries can lead to serious consequences.

Recall that there are Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus. Minsk has repeatedly stated that in the event of an attack on the country, they are ready to use the entire arsenal of weapons available in the country. At the same time, Kiev believes that it has the right to threaten Minsk.
