Russia has applied to the EAEU for an extension of the zero duty on gasoline, a decision on this issue will be made next week. This was announced today, June 28, by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak.
"We have a zero export duty on gasoline until July 1. It is also being extended now. We have submitted a corresponding proposal to the Eurasian Economic Commission. This decision should be made next week," he said.
At the same time, according to him, Russia has not yet imposed a ban on the supply of fuel for export under intergovernmental agreements.
"According to intergovernmental agreements, we do not have a ban yet. And every time, on an individual basis, together with our partners with whom such agreements have been concluded, we simply look at the current situation, needs and provision of needs in the same minimum amount in order to meet the needs of the domestic market," he said.
As EADaily reported, the Russian authorities have already imposed a complete ban on the export of gasoline and jet fuel, and are also considering a complete ban on the export of diesel fuel. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has prepared amendments to the tax legislation to stimulate fuel supplies to the domestic market.
