FSB officers prevented in Moscow region explosion of a train with fuel and lubricants

Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia stopped the illegal activities of two citizens of the Russian Federation involved in the preparation of a terrorist act in the Moscow region.

According to the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC), a terrorist act was planned on a section of the Moscow region railway by blowing up a train carrying fuel and lubricants.

In order to realize the criminal intent, the attackers came into contact with a representative of the Ukrainian special services and, acting on the instructions of the curator, seized an improvised explosive device from the cache.

They also conducted reconnaissance on the railway tracks and picked up a convenient place to lay an explosive device and detonate it.

"During the operational search activities carried out, the defendants were detained by the FSB of Russia. During the inspection, they were found to have means of communication confirming the criminal intentions of the attackers. The detainees give confessions. A procedural decision is being taken," the DSP statement said.

They clarified that the detention of the defendants was the result of a long-term operational development of a group of individuals, during which their attempts to obtain means of terror on the territory of the Moscow and Smolensk regions were recorded.

The FSB of Russia has once again warned that all persons who have agreed to assist the enemy will be identified and prosecuted.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the FSB of the Russian Federation detained a resident of the Moscow region, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, carried out intimidation actions against the Russian military.
