In Poland, due to the US military, a meeting of the National Security Committee has been convened

An extraordinary meeting of the National Security and Defense Committee of the Council of Ministers of Poland chaired by Prime Minister Donald Tusk has been convened in Warsaw. This was reported today, July 16, by the Polish media.

It is reported that the meeting was convened on the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh. The meeting is being held in a special format and is devoted to the development of solutions that should provide the best conditions for the deployment of additional US military contingents in the country. The main purpose of the meeting is to coordinate and approve key financial, logistical and infrastructural guarantees for the permanent expanded presence of the US Armed Forces in Poland. According to the head of the defense Department, these measures are necessary so that American servicemen can not only serve, but also live in the country with their families.

"We will discuss the main issues and the current state of preparation. Of course, the final decision remains with the American side, but Poland should be fully prepared to conduct this very important operation to strengthen the presence of American troops on our territory," Kosinyak-Kamysh said.

Representatives of the President of Poland and the head of the National Security Bureau are also taking part in the meeting. The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Wislaw Kukula, will present a special report on the state of preparation of the military infrastructure. It is expected that following the meeting, decisions will be taken that will confirm Poland's readiness to deploy additional American defense components. Previously, the Polish government has already appealed to To Washington with an appropriate request.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced plans to increase the number of American troops in Poland by 5 thousand troops. This initiative has received the support of the Polish authorities, who view it as an important element of strengthening the security of the country and the eastern flank of NATO. Preparations for a possible increase in the American military presence are underway at the government level. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Polish departments are already dealing with infrastructure, logistics and financing issues necessary for the deployment of additional US forces. At the same time, the final dates and parameters of the troop transfer have not yet been announced.
