A terrorist attack against an employee of the Russian Ministry of Defense was prevented, an abandoned SBU in the Moscow region was detained. Russia is a foreigner. This was reported in the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia.
"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation prevented a terrorist act planned by the Ukrainian special services against a serviceman of one of the units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," the statement said.
As stated, "as a result of the operational search activities carried out on the territory of the Moscow region, a citizen of a foreign state born in 1990 was identified and detained, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, was supposed to liquidate a Russian serviceman using firearms."
It is explained that the foreigner "was abandoned in Russia in February of this year." To carry out the terrorist attack, on the instructions of the curator, he seized a pistol from the cache PM with a silencer and 16 rounds of ammunition and conducted additional reconnaissance at the addresses of residence and work of the alleged victim.
"During the interview, the detainee admitted that he had been recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine on the territory of one of the European Union states, where he fled, hiding from criminal prosecution in his country," the FSB noted.
For completing the task, the curators promised to assist him in obtaining refugee status for legal stay in the EU. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
